Management Commitment

Introduction

Senior management commitment is essential  if any initiative is to be successful. If it is simply stated without their commitment or demonstrated leadership, initiatives stall, fall substantially short of expectation or just simply fail to deliver anything. Today, perhaps more than ever, organisations must improve security, reduce costs and meet more stringent quality and legal requirements. When incidents happen, the integrity and continuity of the business can be endangered and senior management will be held accountable. The loss of confidential information for example, can lead to the organisation's reputation being compromised or consumer confidence being damaged.

Senior management who acknowledge this risk are committed to leading the security awareness initiatives in their organisation and can generally be relied on to communicate to all employees that it is required of them to enhance security awareness by following the selected programmes.

InfoSecure knows from experience that senior management play a key role in achieving a security-aware culture throughout organisations. Therefore we always advise senior management to demonstrate their personal commitment in a short management film, in which they endorse and support the Security Awareness & Training Programme in their organisations.

Commitment Film

InfoSecure have learned from almost a decade of practice that one of the most effective ways of communicating commitment from senior management to the organisation's employees is through the medium of a film that delivers a personal message to everybody and thus significantly improving the success rate of the entire programme. Film can be easily integrated into other parts of the training programme, for example during the training sessions and in the e-learning programme.

We produce an introductory film of around 2 minutes duration where, one of the Board Members or Senior Executives from the client organisation explain the importance of maintaining effective security within the organisation and stressing the need for employees to constantly take information security into account during all working processes and practices.
